Last updated 8 October 2026

Lintel is an app for keeping a household's projects, repeating jobs and documents in one shared place. This page explains what it stores, why, who helps run it, and what you can ask for. Lintel has no adverts, does not track you across other apps or websites, and never sells your data.

Who is responsible

Lintel is run by Lew Jacklin in the United Kingdom, who is the controller of your personal data under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Contact: support@lintelhome.app.

What Lintel stores

Your account

Your email address, your name as you enter it, and a password hash if you sign in with a password. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an identifier for you and either your email address or a private relay address.

Your household

Everything you and the other members add: the household's name and time zone, areas, things (such as a boiler or a car, with any make, model, serial number and dates you enter), tasks, repeating tasks, projects, materials and costs, notes, and who added, changed or completed each item. Everyone in a household can see and change all of it.

Documents and photos

Files you upload, such as warranties, manuals, receipts, certificates and photos, with their titles, types and expiry dates. Lintel only sees photos and files you choose to add.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, a push token for each phone (an address Apple issues so reminders can reach it) and your reminder settings.

Diagnostics

When the app crashes or hits an error, a report with the error, the screens visited just before it, the app version and the phone's model and iOS version. To measure speed, timings such as how long the app takes to open, with the device type, network type and a random identifier for the installation. Our servers log each request with its time, path, result and your account's ID. None of these include the contents of your household, your name or your email address.

How long it is kept

Deleting your account

In the app, tap your initials at the top right, then Delete account at the bottom of the Household screen. This deletes your sign-in straight away and removes you from your household. What you added stays for the other members, no longer linked to you. If you were the last member, the household is deleted as described above.

Children

Lintel is meant for adults running a home and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and significant changes will be shown in the app.
